Common Questions

What information do I need to get a quote?
Your vessel's type, length, year of build, hull material, and current market value. Plus where you sail, how you use her, and your sailing experience. The whole form takes under 10 minutes.
What does Hull & Machinery cover?
Hull & Machinery (H&M) covers physical damage to your yacht — the hull, fittings, machinery, and equipment. It's the core of any yacht insurance policy and covers accidental damage, sinking, fire, theft, and storm damage.
Do I need a survey?
For vessels under 10 years old and under £150,000 in value, a survey is not usually required. Older or higher-value yachts may need a condition survey before we can bind cover. We'll let you know in your quote.
Can I get cover for racing?
Yes — racing cover can be added as an endorsement to your policy. This covers inshore and offshore racing events including damage to rig, sails, and keel during racing.
What is an agreed value policy?
With an agreed value policy, the insured value of your yacht is fixed at the start of the policy. In the event of a total loss, you receive exactly that amount — not a depreciated market value. We offer agreed value as standard.
What if my risk is too complex for an online quote?
If your vessel or usage falls outside our automated quote parameters (superyachts over £1M, pre-1970 classics, charter fleets), your quote will be flagged for broker review. One of our team will contact you within one working day.
